Desmodium canadense
(Showy tick trefoil)

  • 90 strains, including effective isolates from tropical Desmodium species.
  • Most effective strains identified in growth chamber and field studies: UMR6617 and UMR6437

Strains of rhizobia for D.canadense, derive mainly from the Agassiz Dunes, Ana Gronseth, Bluestem, Chippewa, Helen Allison Savanna, Kellogg-Weaver Dunes, Pankratz, and Roscoe prairies. Descriptions of these sites are available through the Minnesota DNR- Scientific and Natural Areas.
