Lespedeza capitata

  • Most effective strains identified in growth chamber and field studies: UMR 6513 and UMR 6564

Strains of rhizobia for L. capitata derive mainly from the Agassiz Dunes, Ana Gronseth, Bluestem, Chippewa, Helen Allison Savanna, Kellogg-Weaver Dunes, Pankratz, and Roscoe prairies. Descriptions of these sites are available though the Minnesota DNR- Scientific and Natural Areas.
